Club Night Times

Our home is the Des Renford Aquatic Centre (at Heffron Park) where we run Club races every Friday all year round, sign-on by 6.15pm.  All are welcome to come along and have a trial swim.

Our aim is to encourage swimming and provide swimming opportunities for all levels of ability - whether competing at carnivals held by other clubs and associations or just to swim socially in a Club atmosphere.

Club night events automatically update based on the date. Go to the Club Night Entries page for the latest events

Xmas Party

The Committee has decided that we will not be going to Jamberoo this year. We based our decision on the fact that only a small number of people indicated they will be attending. We apologise to those who were looking forward to going to Jamberoo. A number of people have also said that they would not go to Jamberoo at that time of year due to the very large crowds. So we will consider a trip to Jamberoo sometime in 2012.

So instead of going to Jamberoo we will be holding the Christmas Party here in the Competition Pool on Friday 2nd December starting at 6:30 pm. We won’t be running the scheduled club events on this night instead the swimmers will be able to have a go on the pool inflatable. There will also be pizzas, drinks and lollies for all.

Registration

Everyone should have also received an e-mail containing their username and passwords to renew their membership for this season. If you haven't received these details please let us know at info@mbra.org.au.

We can also renew your membership in the clubroom on Friday nights before 6:30 pm. Bring either cash or cheque along we can renew your membership on the spot!

Attending an away swimming carnival

As more swimmers are now attending swimming carnivals held by other clubs here is a summary of what our members should wear when representing Maroubra Swimming Club:

It is mandatory to wear the club uniform (Maroubra cossies, swim cap and either a T-shirt, fleece or track suit jacket with the club's logo) for all away swim meets

Gather around our “Maroubra” banner

All swimmers sit together during the meet.

Cheer for team-mates when they're swimming

Always speak with the DRAC coach before and after you swim (if they are in attendance at the meet)

 Respect all other competitors

And most importantly - Enjoy the meet!

Our Club adheres to the member protection policy issued by Australian Swimming Inc and more information can be found here.
